3-6 : Junior Wilderness Explorers
Instructor: Blake
Let’s explore this beautiful world around us! This is a camp for the truly adventurous. The children will be going on hikes, bird watching, building a mega fort, learning how to track. Campers will be learning about our ecosystem and the value of our beautiful forests. Campers will discover how water cycles work and how mother nature affects every single living thing on this planet. They will have the pleasure of a visit from an animal expert who will be bringing several animals to the school and sharing information about them. This camp will motivate students to think critically in the outdoors and practice new skills.
Camp taught in French and English

Week 8 : Aug 16th - Aug 20th 3-6 Junior Wilderness Explorers

The linguistic and educational success of second language learners is now well established. Learning a new language increases brain size and connectivity. People who speak 2 or more languages have significantly better cognitive abilities than those who speak only one.  Bilingual students score higher on standardized math, reading and vocabulary tests. They have better working memories, focus, and attention. Learning a 2nd language is one of the most effective and practical ways to increase intelligence.
