People who speak 2 or more languages have significantly better cognitive abilities than those who speak only one. Bilingual students score higher on standardized math, reading and vocabulary tests. They have better working memories, focus, and attention. Learning a 2nd language is one of the most effective and practical ways to increase intelligence.
